Morning Mojo Recipe

Starting your day with lemon and ginger water is a simple yet powerful way to detox and kickstart your metabolism. Lemon is rich in vitamin C and antioxidants, which help flush out toxins and support your immune system. It also promotes hydration, alkalizes the body, and aids digestion. Ginger, on the other hand, has anti-inflammatory properties and stimulates digestion by boosting enzyme activity, which can enhance metabolism. Together, lemon and ginger help cleanse your liver, improve gut health, and rev up your body’s fat-burning processes, setting a healthy tone for the rest of your day.

​Morning Mojo

Ingredients:
  • 12 oz. (350 ml) glass water (at room temperature)
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • Either: ½ inch (15 mm) knob ginger root OR pinch of cayenne pepper

Directions:
Add the lemon juice to the glass of water. If ginger: finely grate the ginger using a zester, and add the zest to the glass of water. If cayenne pepper: add a pinch of cayenne to your water. Enjoy!

Smoothie Recipes
Blend the Water with the greens FIRST, and then add the rest of the ingredients. (each recipe makes 1 serving)

Strawberry-Banana Morning Blast
1-2 cups of water, 1 cup strawberries (or 1 cup of frozen mixed berries), 1/3 banana, 1 Tsp. hemp hearts & 1-2 cups spinach, 1-scoop spirulina

​Mango-Banana Energy Booster
1-2 cups of water, 1 cup of mango, 1/3 frozen banana, 1 Tsp. hemp hearts & 1-2 cups of spinach, 1 scoop protein powder, 1-scoop spirulina

​Caribbean Blend 
1-2 cups of water, 1/2 cup of tropical fruit blend (frozen mix), 1 Tsp. hemp hearts & 1-2 cups of spinach, 1 scoop protein powder, 1-scoop spirulina

​Blueberry Immune Builder  
1-2 cups of water, ½ cup of blueberries, 1/3 banana, 1 Tsp. hemp hearts & 1-2 cups of kale, 1 scoop protein powder, 1-scoop spirulina

​Berry Superfood Blast
1-2 cups of water, ½ cup strawberries ¼ cup blueberries, ¼ cup Goji berries, 1 Tsp. hemp hearts & 1 cup of Spinach

​Tropical Delight 
1-2 cups of water, 1/4 cup of pineapple, 1 medium orange, ½ papaya, 1/3 banana, 1 Tsp. hemp hearts, 1 cup spinach, 1 scoop protein powder

Saint Lucian Delight
1 cup frozen mango chunks;  ½ banana, 1 cup almond milk; ½ lime (juiced); dash of cayenne pepper; 1 scoop protein powder, 1 scoop spirulina 1 cup ice (1 serving)

​LBD Energy Boost
1 cup raw baby spinach; 2 tbsp. cacao powder; 1 small banana; 1.5 cup unsweetened almond milk; 10 fresh mint leaves; 1 Tbsp cacao nibs, 1 serving protein powder, ½ cup ice (1 serving)

Chocolate-Coconut Superfood Smoothie
1 cup fresh coconut milk (you can use almond milk)
1 heaping tsp. Cacao (raw, unprocessed cocoa)
1 tablespoon goji berries
1 tsp. Spirulina powder (or handful of spinach)
1 scoop of protein powder
1/3 of a banana, 4-6 ice cubes
Directions: Process all ingredients until smooth (about 30 seconds).
Add 4-6 ice and process until nice and smooth.  Serve immediately.  ​
