When you're hungry you tend to grab something to eat quickly, unfortunately these tend to be unhealthy snacks that don't take any preparation. Something sweet or salty come to mind?

 For quick, easy, HEALTHY, snacks: As soon as you come home from the grocery store, clean and chop up your vegetables and put them into portion sized containers. You'll have easy to grab, healthy snacks on the go.



Egg White and Turkey Recipe

Egg Whites & Turkey Scramble
​(serves 6)
Try this delicious low fat, high lean protein breakfast recipe. This is one of my competition meals. Can be eaten anytime of the day: Breakfast, Lunch, Snack or Dinner.
 
Ingredients:
8 egg whites
1 pound / 454gm lean turkey or tofu
2 cups shredded spinach
2 tomatoes, coarsely chopped
1 clove garlic, minced or pressed
Sea salt and black pepper to taste

 Preparation:
1. Cook ground turkey or tofu in a medium skillet until cooked through and lightly browned. Drain excess juice from pan. Place turkey in a bowl and set aside.
2. Wipe the pan clean with a paper towel. Scramble the egg whites until dry. Add scramble to cooked turkey.
3. In a small skillet coated with cooking spray, lightly sate` tomatoes, spinach and garlic.
4. In a large skillet combined all ingredients and mix until evenly distributed. Season with sea salt and pepper.

Servings: 6
Calories: 114 
Protein: 24g
Fiber: 0.59

Carbs: 2g                 
Sugars: 1g

Fat: 0.8g                          
Sodium: 120mg

Muscles are the engines of the body. Unfortunately, muscles lose size and strength with age, resulting in physical weakness and variety of degenerated problems. You can avoid muscle loss by doing regular strength training. You can replace muscle tissue you've already lost regardless of your age. You can replace a rather large amount of lost muscle in a relatively short time through a simple strength training exercise program.

Schedule your workouts ahead of time in your daily-planner like you would a meeting or appointment. Try writing the day and time of your workouts a few weeks in advance, and if you need to cancel one, reschedule it right away!
