Sometimes I like to enjoy a great tasting burger on the barbecue but the fat content of a regular burger is way too high for my clean eating diet. Try this delicious high protein and low fat turkey burger.
1 cup oatmeal
1/2 cup bell peppers
3 Tbsp minced onions
2 egg whites
1 lbs lean ground turkey Preparation:
1. Combined first four ingredients in a large bowl. Add lean ground turkey. Mix well with clean bare hands and shape into patties and grill.
2. Serve hot with lightly toasted whole grain low fat, low sodium, and low calorie bun of your choice. Avoid high-fat condiments such as mayonnaise. But definitely add mustard, low sodium, low sugar ketchup, lettuce and slices of fresh tomatoes.
