Women's Self Defense Workshop We are pleased to be offering this 6-week self defense course for women, led by Sensei Lisa. This informative workshop is designed to prepare women, both mentally and physically, to lessen the chance or the severity of a personal attack. Statistics depicting the prevalence of violence against women are far too high. This course is being offered in an attempt to lessen that current statistic in our community. Each class will contain an element of discussion to explore the necessity of mental preparation to defend one's self as well as a physical component. The physical component is designed for women with no combative experience and the new heavy bags will be put to good use. Each week will build on the previous weeks information and techniques. The space is limited to ensure the optimal learning experience.

Maximize Your Mobility Workshop Objective: To attain maximum personal mobility and flexibility in the spine, limbs and neck
This series is aimed at: • People of all ages and fitness levels • Fitness fanatics looking to integrate different restorative modalities to their routine • Bodybuilders who have developed short muscles from intense power lifting • Weightlifters who are seeking to improve their dynamic exercises i.e. clean, jerk and snatch • Crossfit athletes who seek difficult practices that integrate strength, power and mobility i.e. pistol squats, muscle ups, handstands, Turkish get-up etc. • Beginner to Advanced Yoga practitioners who want a deeper understanding of stretching mechanics and aim to “unlock” difficult postures

Session One (Tuesday March 26th at 6 pm) • Introduction of to Methodology and mobility tools • Basic assessment through fundamental human postures • Goal setting • Recording findings and laying the groundwork for improving the mobility and flexibility • Introduction dynamic stretching routine • Ankle, foot, toe mobility
Session Two (Saturday March 30th at 8 am) • Mobility exercises for Calf, Shin, Knee, Hamstrings, Quadriceps, Adductors • Active and Dynamic Hip opening Stretches
Session Three (Tuesday April 2nd at 6 pm) • Mobility exercises for Glutes, Hip Flexors and Capsules • Active and Dynamic Hip opening Stretches
Session Four (Saturday April 6th at 8 am) • Mobility exercises for Low Back and Psoas, Abdomen, Chest • Active and Dynamic Spinal Stretches (Upper and Lower Back)
Session Five (Tuesday April 9th at 6 pm) • Mobility exercises for Shoulders (Anterior and Posterior), Triceps, Elbow, Forearms and Wrists • Active and Dynamic stretching Spinal Stretches (Upper and Lower Back) Session Six (Saturday April 13th at 8 am) • Active and Dynamic stretching Spinal Stretches (Upper and Lower Back) • Mobility exercises for Jaw, Head and Neck • Reassessment and next step goal setting

What to expect during a Reiki session During this 60 minute session you will be set up in a private soothing room with gentle relaxing music. You will lie on a massage table, fully clothed with blankets, pillows and an eye mask that is provided. During the session you may become so relaxed that you fall asleep. Some clients can sense, feel or envision energy being unblocked. Some people even experience a warm glowing energy whereas others simply have an overall feeling of relaxation. The Reiki practitioners hands are placed just above the body and there is no need for direct contact in order to receive the full benefits of Reiki. We will dive deep into what no longer serves your higher good and release any attachments that may be holding you back or keeping you stuck.
