One of my earliest health goals as a young adult was to stay as active as I could be for as long as possible. While there have been extended periods of inactivity I have always found my way back to my first passion - running. Over the years I have explored different avenues to a healthier lifestyle, including learning to eat more healthfully, exploring my spiritual and mental/emotional values, and learning to appreciate life as it comes.
Currently my goal is to incorporate the activities I’ve discovered in the past, this being a combination of Yoga, TRX, and weight training to help me fulfill and round out my health goal. I have a vision for myself in 20 years, and it’s what keeps me focused on my journey.
Other fun facts about me: I love baking/cooking (I make the most amazing lemon cake) and always cook way too much food. I also love gardening, (I’m waiting for the hummingbirds to find my feeders and flower beds) I enjoy my quiet home life, love spending time with family, and travelling, especially long road trips. Personal mantras: Learning never ends. Just do it. Breathe.
