I attended my first yoga class in 2013 not knowing what I was getting into. I was coming from a background of competitive sport and was up for trying something new. After that first class, I was sold, and to say I am now hooked on yoga would be an understatement. When I’m not standing on my head or reading up on the history behind a yoga pose, I can be found running, playing soccer or ringette, golfing or skiing. I believe in a healthy, balanced and active lifestyle.
Yoga is both a physical and mental practice. Through physical postures, we can find mental clarity. The best classes will seamlessly unite both. Yoga is a way of thinking and a way of moving. It is a continuous, lifelong practice that unites the physical with the mental, both on and off the mat.
Whether you are new to yoga or are an advanced yogi, there is something for you in my class. I am a strong believer in proper technique and form. You may even leave the class knowing a new Sanskrit word or the story behind a certain pose. I hope to you see on the mat!
