Today is a special day. You see, exactly one year ago today, I had my first One-On-One Training session with Natatia! That truly was the beginning of a new and wonderful season of my life. In fact, I firmly believe that it was the beginning of the rest, and best, of my life. (...and that’s NOT an overstatement!) As a wife, mom to 4, and business owner, I had slipped into some bad habits where my health was concerned – specifically, poor nutrition and desperate lack of physical activity. I thought that I felt ‘fine’. I had no particular ‘health problems’. As I entered my 40's though, I began thinking about where things were going from there, and what I would look and feel like when the 50's came around...and then the 60's. The number on the scales kept creeping up little by little. There were bulges developing where I hadn’t had bulges before. I decided that if something was going to change, there was no time like the present. When I began this journey with Natatia, I had no idea how much BETTER I could feel (and I already had thought that I felt fine!) I signed on with Natatia for a 3 month session of One-On-One Personal Training and Nutrition Advice.
It proved to be one of the most challenging (but also the most rewarding) things I have ever done! The end of our three month session was certainly significant. Taking the measurements, stepping back onto the scales, and learning that we had achieved my goals for that period was awesome! This ‘one year anniversary’ seems even more exciting though, as I have been able to move through a complete one year cycle of life (including some of the things that have been most challenging in the past as far as making healthy choices – the busy summer season, Easter and Halloween candy, Christmas – ugh!, and even vacation times.) I am so pleased to be able to say that, thanks to Natatia’s teaching, encouragement, and her always-kind voice (which I – thankfully - cannot get out of my head....asking things like, “Do you NEED that?”, “What have you done for cardio this week?”, “How are you doing with your nutrition?” among others.) I have remained in this new, wonderful, healthy place where I am much more comfortable, confident, energetic, and just simply feel great!
As an added benefit, this healthier lifestyle has overflowed to all 4 of our children, who will often ask me, “Mom, is this a healthy nutritional choice?” or “Mom, Can I go on a run with you?” If you’re considering making a lifestyle change, I have every confidence that Natatia can help you make it happen. It will not be easy. It will take effort, and there will be sacrifices. She can’t do it FOR you, but she will certainly journey WITH you through your transformation. Most of my life I have battled with my weight. My biggest issue was my diet. I would never look at the way I should be eating, but eat what I want, and not very healthy. I was feeling bad about myself and realized one day I needed to do something about my weight, instead of always feeling sorry for myself.

“Less than a year later, I have dropped 50 pounds”
I started with Natatia in mid-November. My daughter had convinced me to go to her because of her experience training with older people. (I was 58) and the fact I was losing mobility quickly. When I started I was way overweight, had diabetes and hypertension, and was taking 8 to 10 pills a day. My body fat index was over 35.
Within a couple of months, Natatia had me eating correctly and into a regular exercise routine that had me losing weight.
Today less than a year later, I have dropped 50 pounds, has a body fat index of 9, have excellent mobility, and am taking 0 pills per day to treat my diabetes and hypertension (it is controlled through diet and exercise). Also, I have added a lot of muscle and feel great again! Hiring a personal trainer is not cheap, but how much is living longer worth to you? To me, every penny!

I had my consultation with Natatia in the middle of May 2014. Due to back problems and muscle weakness from nerve damage, I wanted to try personal training as opposed to joining a “group” session and maybe risk injury, because my form was incorrect.
Natatia listens to all my woes, then worked out a program of ever-increasing difficulty, and challenge, to help improve my strength and flexibility. Her attention to detail ensures that your form improves and this helps reduce the risk of injury. It wasn’t easy, believe me, but Natatia has the ability to make you do more than you think you’re able to… “Give me five more”...I hear it in my dreams. She scrutinizes your Nutrition log, praises your good food choices, laments and suggests alternative options for your cheats and non-healthy choices. I joke that I hear her voice in my head when I reach for a cheat treat:)
By October I had lost 26 lbs and looked great for my nieces’ wedding back home!! After using the festive season as an excuse to cheat, I started back with the program again in the New Year and has almost reached an acceptable weight. Thanks to Natatia, I am much strong in body and mind.

After struggling with an injury, being inactive for over a year, and having tried every mainstream therapy available, I decided to take a charge and made the decision to sign up for personal training to help me work through my injury. Our sessions forced me to create a routine and build my workouts into my lifestyle. On those days where I felt drained of energy and wanted nothing more than to head home after work, those sessions helped me to stick to my routine. Natatia gently pushed me through my workout and I left feeling amazed at the energy I found to complete the exercises. Because of her motivation and knowledge, I reached my goal and feel that I have in fact exceeded my goal.
