Here’s a super-refreshing take on lemonade. It is delicious, and it is a great way to use up any extra basil from your garden. This recipe does contain sweetener, but less than most lemonade recipes. You can adjust it to suit your goals and taste preferences. This recipe can also double as a mixer for your next cocktail party – or just add some seltzer for a little “fizz.” (makes 6 servings)
Pour lemon juice into a blender and add honey (or maple syrup) and basil. Blend until smooth. Strain the liquid into a pitcher to get a clear green liquid. Add the cold water and chill until ready to serve. Serve over ice. So good and refreshing!
